FTOJAWXRNK

School Reader Board, Sara with award

JDRF congratulates Greenacres Middle School student Sara Grozdanich, who recently received a Chase Youth Award for Personal Achievement. Sara was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 2007 at the age of 11. Soon after diagnosis, she became an active volunteer and youth ambassador for JDRF. In addition to the daily management of diabetes, Sara is an elite soccer player, a top runner in cross country and track, a straight A student, a terrific saxophone player, has perfect school attendance, and keeps a positive outlook on life. Sara was nominated by her school principal, and is a leader among her peers and respected by all the students and staff at GMS. Congratulations, Sara!
