I am very happy to report to you that once again our Kansas City JDRF Chapter has been recognized as one of the most distinguished chapters nationwide. At the JDRF Fall Leadership Conference held in Chicago, Ill., the Kansas City Chapter received recognition and awards in the areas of outstanding fundraising and spending cost efficiency! Congratulations to all of you for your
contributions to these important areas of recognition for our Chapter. It takes all of
us working together to be recognized over and over again
on the national level!
I am immensely
proud to be a part of JDRF Kansas City—working alongside such devoted board members, volunteers and staff. This is all possible because of the outstanding level of involvement from both local volunteers and staff. I am constantly in awe of the passion and drive you all consistently communicate to cure, treat and prevent type 1 diabetes. With each event we organize and carry out, this desire is more evident. I am also very excited for our upcoming 2012 Dream Gala to be held on May 5 at the Muehlebach Tower of the Downtown Kansas City Marriott. This year’s event is shaping up to be fun, fantastic and unique with our three determined “Moms on a Mission” leading the way to Dream Gala 2012 being one of the best ever. I hope to see you there!
