This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Kansas City JDRF Walk! What started as the Walk to Cure Diabetes has now become the JDRF One Walk and has raised more than $15 million for type 1 diabetes (T1D) research.
Join us on October 18, along with 12,000 fellow JDRF supporters, for the 2014 Kansas City JDRF One Walk.
We are excited to be part of JDRF’s national One Walk pilot program and raise even more funds to support research for type 1 diabetes.
Check-in opens at 8 a.m. on Walk day. Guests should enter the Truman Sports Complex through Gate 5 (off of Raytown Road) and then follow the signs to Lot M where the Walk will begin at 9 a.m. Following the Walk, there will be music, food and beverages and family-friendly activities for all ages. There also will be several photo opportunities available. The Walk route is close to 5K in length with a 2-mile shortcut option.
It's not too late to register and start fundraising! To register for the Kansas City JDRF One Walk please visit walk.jdrf.org – enter your zip code, click on Kansas City, MO and select "Register."
