Winners of the 33rd Annual Chili Cook-Off and Salsa Competition were listed in the Winter 2008 edition of Connections. Rice Paddy Chili placed as 1st Place People’s Choice Red Chili, 2nd Place Fundraising Competition and 2nd Place Most Samples Sold. Len Berkel was listed as the head cook of Rice Paddy Chili, but the wins should be credited to Head Cook Sheldon Hartsfield and the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 458 cooking team.
