NKF Reaches Out to Primary Care Physicians

HJMIVHJYLI More than one hundred internal medicine physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners came from all over Kansas and Missouri to attend the 7th Annual Primary Care Physicians Conference in Kansas City, Mo. Topics included “How to Assess Renal Function,” and “Herbs and Heavy Metals: A Recipe for Kidney Failure” among others presented by national renal professionals. Comments from attendees included, “Very relevant to day-to-day practitioners,” “Well organized, truly primary care oriented,” and “I liked best the variety of topics that thoroughly cover all aspects of kidney disease.” Support was provided for the conference by Missouri Kidney Program, Merck and Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences.
