SBLMKMTWSO
We are proud to announce that Betsy Paffmann has joined our staff as outreach coordinator. Betsy’s responsibilities include building relationships with new families and developing activities to help all families deal with living with diabetes. Betsy’s son, Michael, one of our original youth ambassadors, was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes at the age of 6. He is now in his second year of college.
Betsy is a graduate of C.W. Post with a degree in psychology and the NYU School of Education with a master’s degree in school counseling. She has been active in her children’s education, serving in leadership positions in the PTA. She has been a volunteer with the chapter for more than 10 years and has been our “go to” person for issues related to the 504 Plan. Betsy has held a school Walk at the Cherry Lane School every year that has raised significant funds for diabetes research. She lives in Westbury with husband Mark, daughter Jennifer and son Michael.
We are delighted that Betsy has joined the JDRF team.
