A good time was had by all at the West Virginia Branch Walk to Cure Diabetes,
one of the largest JDRF volunteer walks in the country. On Sunday, May 17, 2009,
more than 450 walkers spent a beautiful spring day walking the perimeter and
grounds of the State Capital in Charleston, W.V. Lively music kept everyone pumped
up while enjoying the festivities before the Walk began. A Wall of Heroes was
erected to honor the children living with type 1 diabetes. The mood of the day
was truly one of celebration, especially once the total was announced! Congratulations
to the West Virginia Volunteer Walk to Cure Diabetes for raising more than $130,000!
