Simpson's Book Adds to Special Education Accolades

YFMZDRGMPU

University of Kansas Professor Rich Simpson published the fourth edition of Working with Parents and Families of Exceptional Children and Youth: Techniques for Successful Conferencing and Collaboration (Pro-Ed, Inc., 2010).

Simpson is part of the internationally renowned faculty at the Edwards Campus that has helped make KU’s Department of Special Education a perennial leader among public universities and the top school in U.S. News & World Report’s 2008 rankings.

The 453-page textbook is designed to assist educators and other professionals who work with parents and family members of special needs kids, which Simpson says researchers estimate at one in 10 school-age children. The book is available through Amazon, Barnes & Noble and other retail and academic outlets.
