Once again, the Kansas City Business Journal and its partners - The Resource Group L.C., Quantum Human Resource Tools, Right Management, Littler Mendelson, P.C. and Aetna - are searching for the area's "Best Places to Work."
| Rankings are based on a survey that asks employees to rate their company on the following: |

• Retention probability
• Alignment with goals
• Trust with co-workers
• Individual contribution
• Manager effectiveness
• Trust in senior leaders
• Feeling valued
• Work engagement
• People practices

Any company in the Kansas City metropolitan area (Ray, Cass, Clay, Jackson and Platte counties in Missouri, and Johnson, Leavenworth and Wyandotte counties in Kansas) with 10 or more full-time employees can participate.
Surveys will be administered and results will be tabulated by Quantum Human Resource Tools, a specialist in measuring workplace satisfaction. Only the top 10 finalists in each category will be published. All other participating companies will be guaranteed anonymity with regards to results
and participation.
