Roger Staab, industry member from Hays, was appointed to the commission Aug. 25, 2003. Roger is the supervising broker of Landmark Realty, L.L.C. in Hays. He currently serves as vice-chair of the commission. Roger succeeded Judy Nusser as a representative of the 1st Congressional District.

Theron Sims, an attorney from Topeka, was appointed to the commission June 23, 2004. Theron will serve a four-year term as the consumer or public member of the commission. As a non-industry member, he brings a unique perspective to the commission. His legal practice is dedicated primarily to real estate, commercial collections, and representation of creditors in bankruptcy matters. Theron, who succeeds Jerry Kuckelman, an attorney from Atchison, is also a real estate developer.
